No. YiP Softphone is completely cloud-based and gives you a separate, dedicated business line. Your personal mobile number is never affected — all business calls go through the app, keeping work and personal completely separate.

Which devices is the app available on?+

YiP Softphone is available on both Android (Google Play Store) and iOS (Apple App Store). Simply search "YiP Softphone" in either store to download and install.

How much does it cost?+

The subscription is R50 per user, per month. There is a once-off activation fee of R100. Each subscription includes a brand new South African business landline number plus access to all features.

Can I have multiple users on one account?+

Yes — YiP Softphone supports multiple users, each with their own extension. Internal extension-to-extension calls between your team members are completely free, no matter how many you have.

Do I need Wi-Fi, or does mobile data work?+
